Police say 87-year-old man confined, assaulted at 20th Street business


At least two males broke into the building and assaulted the man before fleeing.

Police are investigating an incident where an 87-year-old man was forcibly confined and assaulted overnight at a 20th Street business.

Police were called to a business in 500 block of 20th Street West at about 3 a.m. Wednesday, a media release said. The victim was inside the business at about 11 p.m. when at least two males broke in, confined the victim and beat him before fleeing.

Police say the man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
